The average cost of homes sold in Carmel was $333,351 in January 2016! In 2015, the average sales price was $329,610. That’s a 2% increase! However, the price per sq. ft. went down slightly! In January 2016, the price per sq. ft. was $123.86 and in 2015 it was $124.30! The days on market went down too! In 2016, the average DOM was 83 days (longest being 405) and in 2015, the average DOM was 87 days (longest being 520)! If you are looking to buy a home in Carmel, this is a great time to buy! There are so many deals to be had!
The most popular neighborhoods in Carmel were: Bellewood (2), Brookshire (2), Carmel View (2), Lenox Trace (3), Plum Creek (3) and Village of West Clay (4). The average size of a home sold this month was four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and just over 2,600 sq. ft.!
In the Carmel luxury real estate market, there were 11 homes sold over $500,000 in 2016. The most luxurious home sold in Carmel this January sold for $779,000. This home has six bedrooms, five and a half baths, 6,500 sq. ft. and sits on over a third of an acre of land!
