Are you curious about the various Christmas Events in Indianapolis this year? Here’s a handy list of places to go and things to see to keep you in the holiday spirit (and none of them are related to shopping!).
The Gingerbread Village at Conner Prairie will be open from November 29th through January 6th. Individuals, business groups, families, professionals have all taken the time to craft their gingerbread house and they will be displayed (and judged) during this time. This is truly a great event for the whole family to enjoy and maybe get a taste too!
There are of course the usual yearly events including Duke Energy’s Yultetide Celebration with the Symphony and the Jolly Days Winter Wonderland at the Indianapolis Zoo. Another musical event that my husband enjoys is Handel’s Messiah (Hallelujah chorus) which is on December 15th at Clowes. Indianapolis does a great job showcasing the musical talent in our city!
One event that is unique to Hamilton County is the Reynolds Farm Equipment light show. This has been going since 1992 and every year they add to the display making it visible from the highways. It is located at SR 37 and 126th and is free. It spans 7 acres and is a joy to drive through and definitely will get you in that holiday spirit.
If you are looking for a great place to get a fresh tree, try Yakey’s Farm at 106th between Lantern and Cumberland. I have been going for 20 years and still love the path to the tree farm complete with the Yakey dogs and bridge to an open field. You pick it, they cut it and get it ready for you to go.
There are several Breakfast with Santa events including one at The Mansion at Oak Hill every Saturday! The Keller Williams office is holding theirs on December 8th from 1:00 to 3:00. Contact me for details on location and other specifics.
*One great site to explore beginning December 1 is Norad!
The Marchant Team wishes you and your families a very blessed and peaceful holiday season. When the time comes to sell your home, we hope you will think of us and learn about why we are so successful in the Indianapolis/Fishers/Carmel market.
