Also on May 2nd, the Indianapolis 500 Mini Marathon is happening downtown! This running event has been a May staple for many years! If the mini-marathon is too intimidating, they do have a 5k event as well! Perfect way to get in the action!
On May 6th, The Fishers Library presents: An Evening at the Ballet! The Indiana Ballet Conservatory will be performing pieces from their spring show!
On May 9th, Rick Springfield rolls into town with his Stripped Down Tour! This is a free event at Nickel Plate District Amphitheater presented by B105.7!
On May 24th, the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 is here! The Greatest Spectacle in Racing is an Indianapolis tradition and not to be missed!
Every Friday in May, go to the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater for Movies in the Park. Beginning at sunset, bring lawn chairs, snacks and your favorite little ones to enjoy a variety of movies! May’s movies are: Planes- Fire and Rescue (May 1st), The Boxtrolls (May 8th), Dolphin Tale 2 (May 15th), Earth to Echo (May 22nd), and Big Hero 6 (May 29th)!
It’s Back! Every Saturday head to the Fishers Farmers Market! There are over 35 vendors with fresh produce, live goods, bakery items, honey, meats, coffee and more! It’s a great way to get the freshest ingredients and to keep it local!
